Our students are eager to host their UAlbany faculty members for a Shabbat Dinner! Friday November 4th is the date, dinner is at 8pm, at Shabbos House Rohr Chabad Jewish Student Center, at 320 Fuller Road.

What to expect? Shabbos House has usually anywhere between 100-160 students on a Friday Night, no reserved seating. Traditional services precede at 7pm, dinner begins at 8pm. There are several courses served and it all begins with a few Shabbat welcome songs, the Kiddush over grapejuice and Hamotzee on Challah. The food is all home-prepared by Raizy and a team of students, see form below for any food concerns) Usually Rabbi Mendel shares a story or insight (see “Mendel’s Messages“), but being a faculty Shabbat, we hope to involve faculty in some type of individual or group interaction – stay tuned as our students work to finalize that. Dinner is usually over by 9/9:30pm but some students linger on afterwards.
Re Parking: There is very limited parking at Shabbos House and we try to keep side street parking to a minimum. Please, it would be best if you parked in the Dutch Student Gold Lot closest to Shabbos House and walked the short distance over.
