L’chaim and Shabbos House Tabling is a great way to interact on campus, with engaging, insightful and enjoyable giveaways and activities.

Most of our Tables fall under one (or more) of these 3 categories:

TASTE OF INSPIRATION

The Baal Shem Tov taught to find meaningful lessons in everything, and food can be a great example. Rabbi Mendel comes up with these insightful connections and lessons from food – so by stopping by the table you get food and food-for-thought.

Here are a few examples of our “Taste of Inspiration” Tabling ideas: Felafel Philosophy, Matzah-Ball Physics, History of the Latke, Peek inside a Hamantasch, If You Give a Chassid a Cookie…, Knead some Dough?, Are You in a Pickle?

MITZVAH ON THE SPOT FOR STUDENTS ON THE GO

Quick Lulav Shakes in or out of a mini-Sukkah, make your own Tzedakah Box, the 9/11 Mitzvah Table, maybe a Tefillin-Warp with a Kotel Backdrop… are all ways to do a quick hands-on Mitzvah (good deed or Jewish observance) in a easy-going, user-friendly, non-judgmental setting.

SHABBAT & HOLIDAY AWARENESS

The ever-popular Shofar Factory and the Hot Latke Table are probably our best known Holiday Awareness tables. We also do Matzah and Shmears, Tu Bishvat Dried-Fruit Fondue or Fruit-Roll-Up Flowers, Purim Packets and more..

Huge thanks to the L’chaim Student Board for all their work in arranging and staffing these tables on a regular ongoing basis.
