Despite the scorching heat and humidity, the L’chaim Mitzvah Table was out there outside Campus Center with Mitzvot in honor of 9/11 commemoration and as a Pre-Yom-Kippur Mitzvah preparation.

Students pledged many Mitzvot and posted them on “Let’s Go Mitzvah” pennants, Cookies had Mitzvah messages underneath and there were opportunities to give Tzedakah or put on Tefillin at our “Kotel”. The card-size calendar of holiday events and services this month was a handy giveaway. Towards the end of the tabling time we also got cold refreshing Israeli ices, and cups of water with a blessing to add to the Mitzvah mix.

By the end of the tabling our board was filled with pennant pledges of a variety of Mitzvot that students hope to keep or increase in the year to come.

The next L’chaim tabling will be at the Student Association Block Party Fair at Dutch Commons on September 22nd. Look for the mini-Sukkah at the L’chaim table and step inside for great Lulav Shakes and a useful keepsake giveaway.
