This idea isn’t Sukkot related, but it so happens that the long Sukkot holiday up here away from my Yeshiva work obligations in Florida is a good time for me to catch up on some of my study obligations. Each year there’s a Chabad custom to take a tractate of Talmud to study over the course of the year. My tractate this year is Bechorot, which deals with laws of first-born persons and animals and their redemption as per biblical laws etc.

And today I came across an interesting Talmudic story which can be a telling message for us.
