Each year for Shabbat 360, there’s a theme and a t-shirt, and for 5786/2026 the theme was X-Box 360 with the X transposed into an Alef and game covers as centerpieces with Hebrew lettering and thought-provoking gaming questions. (see the ten questions below). Each table also had little table games like Uno, Connect-4, Jenga and more.

Here are the ten questions we had on back of the Hebrew gaming centerpiece boxes. Something to think about and discuss…

GAME ON! GAMES-FOR-THOUGHT:

1) What’s a video game you enjoyed as a child?

2) What’s a game you hope your child will enjoy?

3) What college subject or skills do you think might be better learned using video games?

4) What’s the longest stretch you’ve ever played?

5) What’s a technique to know when to stop?

6) What’s the hardest challenge you’ve faced in
a game? The most difficult to overcome?

7) Do you prefer fantasy or life-like in your gaming experiences?

8) What’s a life lesson to be learned from your favorite video game?

9) What are ways to lock-in to Shabbat the way many people do while gaming?

10)  Which game would you consider most
Jewish in some way?
