It so happens that we hosted an alumna’s Sheva Brachos on Yud Tes Kislev, the 19th of Kislev, aka the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus. So we were thinking of a meaningful thought-provoking centerpiece that could be fitting both for the bride and groom and for Yud Tes Kislev. And this Sheva Brachos was also the 4th class in a Torah-Tuesdays course we did titled “Cup of Blessing”.
All of which brought us to create this custom wine label. We bought the inexpensive low-alcohol bubbly wine product from Trader Joe’s, Blue Bottle, and stuck this label on as a centerpiece.
The “wine description” on this new custom label is very true of this bubbly wine, accessible anywhere you’ll find Trader Joe’s, and at a relatively reasonable price.
And yes, this is true of this newlywed couple: Accessible, friendly and pleasant, bubbly and sweet!
Indeed, fitting also as a descriptor of Chassidus, sometimes called “the wine of Torah”, an inner-dimension that brings out the sparkle in Torah and the enthusiasm in ourselves, that is pleasant and accessible, personally relevant, a mystical dimension that is within reach.
