751px-I-678_(long).svgNo, No… 678 this has nothing to do with the Van Wyck Expressway down in Queens or the Bronx! It’s just that we have 3 different, successive events this weekend of February 6, 7 and 8th of 2015.

FRIDAY 2/6 “TWIN SHABBAT”

There are many twins at Shabbos House this year, at least 4 full-sets (both students at UAlbany) and even more half-sets. Look for a engaging and entertaining game and nice-life message at Friday Night Dinner at Shabbos House. Prayers 6pm, Shabbat Dinner at 7pm. If you are a twin and would like to participate, please contact us ASAP during the week prior to Shabbos. Of course, all non-twins are VERY welcome, as well. That goes without saying…

SHABBAT 2/7 “AEPI ALUMNI REUNION” AT SH LUNCH

A nice group of old Shabbos House alumni active in AEPI (mostly between 2001-2007) asked to come up for a Shabbos lunch (which they are sponsoring). Some of these guys have not yet seen the new Shabbos House, many of these guys we haven’t seen in a while, maybe a few since their UAlbany graduations. Many UAlbany buildings will be new to them as well. It will be Shabbos lunch as usual, with lots of old friends back up as guests and perhaps some old-time #TBT photos and memories in their honor.

SUNDAY 2/8 “MEGA CHALLAH BAKE”

This year is the 10th annual “Spa for the Body and Soul” program run by a collective of area Jewish Womens Groups. To mark this milestone this year’s program will be a Mega Challah Bake led by Challah baking expert Rochie Pinson of Brooklyn. This goes way beyond dough and ingredients to a unique and memorable experience.

The Spa treatment portion of the program begins at 12:30pm, while the main program of the Mega-Challah-Bake will begin at 1:30pm. There is no charge for students as this event is co-sponsored by Shabbos House and UAlbany Hillel. Parking is only at the Dutch Gold Lot.

The usual men’s Minyan Brunch will take place this week at the old Shabbos House at 11am.
