A. No. There’s no point in burnt Matzah. But here’s why some Shmurah Matzah pieces are burnt:

Round Shmurah Matzah is handmade, and each Matzah is placed and removed from the incredibly hot wood-fired brick oven by a human – not machine. The super thin dough bakes in seconds, and as the Talmud says, it is an art to know when to remove it and act swiftly and deftly enough that it is fully baked (because an unbaked Matzah would become Chametz) and before it burns. The baker does his best, but some Matzah does burn a bit. And they probably err on the more fully baked than less fully baked to safeguard against Chametz concerns.
