Yom Kippur is written right in the Torah, as a fast day, a day of atonement, the “One” day a year. In the Jerusalem Temple there was a special service led by the High Priest as prescribed in detail in the Torah. More recently Arab nations opened war against Israel in 1973 on Yom Kippur.
